On Thursday November 23, 2023, Sarah Macdonald will broadcast her ABC Radio Sydney Morning show live from the new auditorium in the State Library of NSW, to mark 100 years since what was then called 2SB (the SB standing for Sydney Broadcasters Limited) first went to air.
Sydneysiders and radio enthusiasts are invited to be part of the live audience as Macdonald and special guests share their memories of ABC Radio Sydney through the years.
After the broadcast, attendees can enjoy morning tea, chat with the ABC team and guests, and view the specially created State Library display that maps the evolution of 2SB to 2BL and then to ABC Radio Sydney.
