Justin Bieber launches new iHeartRadio LIVE series

Justin Bieber rocked Sydney Harbour’s #BIEBERISLAND yesterday thrilling over 1,600 fans and launching the new iHeartRadio LIVE series, by ARN and iHeartRadio Australia, in partnership with Emotive.

Kicking it off with Bieber yesterday iHeartRadio Australia will stage the country’s largest live music event series with 14 iHeartRadio Live events set to be held over the next 12 months. Giving audiences more of the music they love with unrivalled access to live events and exclusive artist experiences.

KIIS 1065’s Kyle & Jackie O was broadcasting live from the island, as was television partner Channel 7’s Sunrise.

Bieber kept fans entertained as he moved effortlessly between his energetic performances and live interviews with Sunrise’s David Koch and Sam Armytage before sitting down to chat live on air with Kyle & Jackie O.

He kicked off the live show with crowd favourite and new single ‘What Do You Mean?’ The audience sang along, word-perfect, as Bieber showed offhis signature smooth dance moves, even leaving the stage to get up close to excited fans, as he performed hits ‘Where are you now?’ and ‘Boyfriend’.

Later, he performed a special acoustic set featuring ‘As Long As You Love Me’, ‘Home to Mama’, ‘Be Alright’, ‘That Should Be Me’ and ‘Baby’. This special set will be available exclusively on www.iheartradio.com.au.

iHeartRadio Australia partnered with Optus and Universal Music to create the live music event.The only way to see the performance was to win your way in and the KIIS FM competition line almost went into meltdown with a total of 1.7 million calls made to the station and tens of thousands online entries, since the competition launched on September 7.

Before the day of the event had even arrived, #BIEBERISLAND was mentioned more than 6 million times on Twitter. Across the three hour event this morning, almost 100,000 Tweets had Justin’s performances trending and over 4,000 Instagram #BIEBERISLAND posts were shared.

But those not lucky enough to make it to this special show haven’t been forgotten and fans can relive the magic. Five videos of Bieber’s performances are soon to be released on the newly updated iHeartRadio Australia app and online at iheart.com.
