Kate is The Morning Rush Breakfast show co-host with Jon Vertigan, featured on ACE Radio stations 3YBFM, 3SH, 3CS, 3HA, GOLD1242, 2QN, 3NE & 3WM.
This year’s Australian Financial Review ‘100 Women of Influence’ was unveiled on Tuesday and features women working across a spectrum of industries, all of whom demonstrate a strong sense of commitment to a cause.
Kate Meade from the ACE Radio Network was selected in the category for Local and Regional.
ACE Radio CEO Mark Taylor was delighted with the news and says “… she is a voice of leadership, strength, comfort and relatability for regional women.
Her service to both the community and the Australian Dance Industry cannot be understated.
We are incredibly proud of her and her achievements and we are thrilled to see the radio industry represented at this level.”
Kate Meade says she feels honoured to recognised. “To be named on this list amongst such a high calibre of women is truly gratifying.”
The winners of each of the 10 categories of the 100 Women of Influence, as well as the overall winner, will be announced at a gala dinner in Sydney on October 17.
Meanwhile Kate is up for another award with The Morning Rush Breakfast show also nominated for two Australian Commercial Radio Awards for 2018 in the Best On-Air Team and Best Networked Program categories.
