Katy Perry’s Small Talk is on everyone’s lips

This week Katy Perry was one of the biggest movers on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay chart, rising 13 places to No.18 with 418 spins. 19 stations across the nation spun the track, with the Nova network accounting for more than half of all airplay. NewFM Newcastle and 973 Brisbane both jumped on board last week adding the track to rotation.

Taylor Swift entered the chart at No.27 with ‘Lover’ ahead of her album release tomorrow of the same name. The track garnered 306 spins across 19 stations, with Nova 969 Sydney the top supporter. This is the fourth release from the record, following singles ‘ME!’ featuring Brendon Urie, ‘You Need To Calm Down’ and ‘The Archer’.

Local rockers Birds of Tokyo returned to the chart with ‘The Greatest Mistakes’ at No.35. The song follows their smash hit ‘Good Lord’ which peaked at No.4 on the Airplay Chart. The song received airplay across 23 stations with spins on a wide range of formats including CHR, Rock, AC, Hot AC and Classic.

Guy Sebastian spent a fourth week in the top spot, while the rest of the Top 4 remained unchanged. Fellow Aussie Tones & I continued her ascent reaching a new peak at No.5.
