Key Programming Appointment ahead of FM Auction

With only days until the auction for the new Sydney FM licence, MIX 1065 has appointed Eddie Hribar as its new Assistant Program Director.

Hribar will take on the key roles of implementing programming policy and specific responsibility for the day to running of MIX. This includes control of staff and scheduling the daily music logs, with the aim of building first class music sweeps for every hour.

He replaces John Vertigan, who’s heading home to Victoria as Program Director and breakfast announcer at the Ace Network’s Coast FM Warrnambool.

Hribar is Australian born, starting his career in 1981 at 2Day FM in Sydney but, since 1998, he’s been PD of ZM in Wellington, New Zealand. Before that, he was PD of Max TV in Auckland.

MIX Program Director, Sam Zniber, is delighted: “I’m very excited to have Eddie in my team to continue to build on the success of MIX 106.5.

Dave Wright will remain Programming Assistant and focus more on the on air side, like outside broadcasts, on the street for Sammy and Jason (breakfast team), interviews, script writing and, of course, his drive show.”
