Broken Hill Councillor and radio presenter Steve Baker has hit back at comments on the radioinfo forum about his recent election to local government.

His response to the “mealy mouthed cretins” are to “set the record straight.”

He says:

“I was, up until 1 week ago Programme Director at 2BH/Hill FM a position I have held since 1996.

I am now working part time as FM Breakfast Host/Music Director/ voice over talent, owing to my other commitments as a retail small business owner… and now also as a councillor.”

He says he did not make political or election comments on his station during the election campaign.

He says he is not the leader of the free world “but if I was I would probably have a cow bell to ring so clueless people would be aware of a political comment!”
