After 14 years with the ABC, most recently as Regional Editor for South Australia and Broken Hill, Khama Gilchrist has been appointed to lead the 891 ABC Adelaide team.

This is an exciting time for the city of churches with the ABC on the move to new premises. Country Arts SA, State Theatre Company South Australia and State Opera South Australia will also shift to the new hub at the Tapangka site.

“Despite the city move, I will still be regional media’s number one cheerleader and forever appreciate the friends, mentors, skills, under-eye bags and many memories gained working across beautiful regional SA.

I’m taking an extra few weeks for some poolside cocktails after a personally tough couple of months, and look forward to getting stuck into the role mid-June.”
