Kitten makes history. Puts song to air. Keeps it tight.

The Guiness Book of Records is yet to confirm whether this kitten, with the working name “DJ”, is the youngest feline ever to operate a broadcast panel.

The curious kitty and his equally cute mate (pictured below with Holly Denton listening to an aircheck) came into the studios of 107.9FM Fremantle last Friday in support of The Cat Haven – a cat shelter in WA.

And to keep the cheap kitty-litter-ation going it was, in fact, a “Kitten in the Kitchen” because the weekly show, which is SYNdicated to SYN Nation in Melbourne is called The Kitchen. It airs on Radio Fremantle 4 – 5 pm on Fridays co-hosted by Holly, Matt Cappeluti, and Adam Diminic.

“We believe we made history when we got a kitten to push a button to play music live on radio!”, Adam told radioinfo. The kittens were not available for comment. Their manager demanded a fee of 50 tins of Dine and a mink scratching post each.
