Kovco lawyer calls for police investigation of Hinch

The Kovco hearing has heard closing arguments from Colonel Young that the Board of Enquiry should refer 3AW’s Derryn Hinch to polics for receiving stolen goods.

He said police should determine if the person who found the CD and passed it on to Hinch had “committed an offence of stealing by finding.” Hinch should also be investigated to determine if he had received stolen property according to Colonel Young.

Board president Group Captain Warren Cook made no comment about Col Young’s requests.

He and his fellow board members have now ended the inquiry’s public hearings into Private Kovco’s fatal shooting in Baghdad on April 21 this year and the bungled return of his body to Australia.
