Kris Fade has announced on air today, on his 104.4 Virgin Radio Dubai show, that he will not be returning to Australia, or taking on a breakfast role with the KIIS Network and ARN. He was offered the opportunity, but has turned it down.
In a statement to Instagram after the announcement was made on air, Kris said the decision to remain in Dubai, where he has lived since 2008 and built a significant media empire, was because his friends, family, team, businesses and future was there, not Sydney.
The announcement racked up thousands of likes within minutes.
The offer was put to Kris a month ago and he has taken the next couple of weeks to think, talk with friends, family and colleagues, negotiate and pray about it. Kris has parents who are aging in Australia, but ‘for now’ the time isn’t right.
For ARN, the search will continue.
