Kyle and Jackie O will do drive on the Today network in 2004. New hosts for the Hot 30 Countdown have not yet been announced.
The new drive show will be “an energetic music and chat based format hosted by two of Austereo’s biggest stars – Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.”
It will go to air in Sydney on 2Day FM and in Melbourne on Fox FM from 12th January 2004 between 4pm till 7pm each weekday.
Austereo’s Sydney General Manager Patrick Joyce said: “Kyle and Jackie O have had enormous success over the last 3 years hosting the Hot 30 Countdown and are very excited about the challenge ahead.
“Combined with Sydney’s most exciting new breakfast show of Judith Lucy, Kaz
Cook, Peter Helliar and Jamie Angel, the new Drive show reinforces 2Day’s
commitment to entertaining Sydney across the day in 2004.”
Jackie O was married to photographer Lee Henderson in Sydney’s Woollahra on the weekend. She told radioinfo: “Next year is going to be a lot of fun. We have lots of great ideas for the new show.”
Kyle says he “can’t wait to
get into it next year”.
The Hot 30 Countdown will continue in 2004, with “an exciting new line-up of
hosts, guests and features.”
More details will be announced about the Hot 30 soon, so while the newspaper radio columns are taking a rest over Christmas, keep reading radioinfo for the latest radio news.
