After their last Melbourne promotional activity, dropping $100K of prize laden tennis balls from the sky, went off without a hitch, The KIIS Network’s Kyle and Jackie O have upped the ante, this time offering listeners the chance at a $5 Million Dawn Dig, with prizes buried on St Kilda West beach. This time they’ve also promised they’ll both be there for the promotion in their first live broadcast from Melbourne.
Starting today, February 24 listeners need to tune in to KIIS 1065 or KIIS 101.1 for their chance to be part of the dig. Then, on Friday April 11, the Kyle & Jackie O Show will broadcast live from the Melbourne beach with 200 bags buried, each containing various cash prizes, and one holding the $5 million jackpot. People who head down that morning to watch proceedings have also been enticed by the opportunity of additional prizes up for grabs.
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said:
“We’re going back to where it all started, digging for cash. We’ve had success with digging. But this time, it’s not a million dollars. That’s small fry. You need a big chunk of cash like $5 million!”
Kyle Sandilands added:
“We thought we should make it $2 million, but you’ve got nothing left if you buy a house. We thought we’d make it $3 million, but we’ve never liked the number three. $4 million sounds like a better number, and then we thought that we should make it $5 million buried on the beach.”
The pair have had a very busy period since they returned from their Christmas breaks with significant health news for Kyle, and Jackie O appearing sans her co-host at the CRA’s HEARD event before also heading for a keynote address at RadioDays Europe early next month.
