Kyle and Jackie O’s drive Show will be heard on B105 Brisbane from this afternoon, replacing local presenter, Dean Kesby, who moves to afternoons.
The pair, who are already networked to Melbourne, have had good response since being moved from the evening Hot 30 Countdown at the end of last year.
B105, which is facing imminent competition from new station Nova, hopes the pair’s strong profile will help prevent it losing listeners when the new station launches.
Kyle and Jackie O are already familiar to Brisbane listeners from their time on the Hot 30.
Afternoon presenter Andrew Very, who is being replaced by Kesby, will go off a regular shift so he can spend more time in his job as Music Director.
B105 has sat at the top of the Brisbane market for many years. While it has been declining slowly in recent ratings, it was still ahead of the market in the Survey #4 results, but faces renewed competition from a rejuvenated Triple M, along with New97.3.
