‘Everybody gets a gay wedding!’

To celebrate the YES vote, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson this morning gave away free weddings to 12 same-sex couples who got on air. 

One couple rang and proposed live on air. 

‘Stephanie, are you there?’ asked Kyle. ‘OK now get up close to the phone like you’re kissing or something…so we can hear you.’ 

‘Would you like to marry me?’

‘Oh my god yes…’ 

‘Well that’s a yes, congratulations!’ 

The weddings were valued at over $16,500, and included a celebrant, rings and venue.

The giveaway follows Wednesday’s announcement that a majority of 61.6% of Australians favour legalising same-sex marriage, with thousands of YES voters celebrating around the nation.
