Kyle Sandilands at serious risk of heart attack or stroke

My blood pressure is 260 over 210,” Kyle Sandilands tells Fifi & Jules. Most of the Today Network’s younger listeners would not be aware of what blood pressure is, let alone how dangerous a reading of 260 over 210 really is.

Now with his new book ‘Scandalands’ to promote, Kyle Sandilands is out on the hustings doing the media rounds and opening up about his life and times like never before.

Today he was on home turf with his own network’s Drive Show, telling Fifi & Jules that his blood pressure is cause for real concern. He’s on medication to address the constant threat of stroke, heart attack and aneurisms. But his weight at 131 kilos isn’t helping matters.

Kyle’s recent absences are well documented in the media, and concerned for his colleague’s health, Jules decided to take the opportunity to chat to Kyle about his private battle with his health.

Jules often steps up to Kyle’s gold microphone, filling in for him with Jackie O when he’s unwell.  Jules has a special ‘Bat Phone’ with a private number that is only known to 2Day FM’s breakfast producers – they use it to summon Jules at 5am in the morning when he’s needed to fill the shift.

Kyle says that he hates missing a show – he’s a workaholic who’s happiest in the studio, and that despite the tabloids being quick to report on his unhealthy lifestyle, he hasn’t had a drink in 25 years.
