Labor hits back via Radio

In an encouraging sign for commercial radio, Labor has launched a radio commercial which targets the Coalition as Australia’s highest taxing Government.

The radio campaign is in response to TV ads, highlighting increased Liverpool council fees when Mark Latham was Mayor.

The radio ad starts with a female voice, who talks about the Liberal TV commercial, which criticises Latham for increasing pool fees while Mayor.

A male voice then asks what the big deal is about pool fees, when the Howard Government is the highest taxing Government in history.

Opposition frontbencher, Stephen Smith, says: “It’s a radio ad that responds to an outrageous TV ad, one which we see from the Liberal Party which shouldn’t surprise us, happy to do anything, say anything, abuse anyone, mislead anyone, to get themselves re-elected.”

At this early stage, it is not clear how long or how extensively the radio campaign will run.
