Latest data shows continued growth for ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network

New iHeartPodcast Network Australia podcast listener data of over 1 million Australian devices in June from podcast technology provider Megaphone, shows consistent growth across its most popular categories year-on-year.
 
The Entertainment & Lifestyle category remains the most popular on the iHeartPodcast Network while Catchup Radio is the second most popular category – up 69% year-on-year.
 
Consistent year-on-year growth has also been seen across popular podcast categories including True Crime (up 366%), Comedy (up 44%) Sport (up 178%), Business (up 43%) and (up 196%).


 
Year-on-year, national total downloads on the iHeartPodcast Network for June are up 58%.

The release of the data follows the release of the Australian Podcast Ranker results for June with ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia holding its position as Australia’s #1 podcast publisher
– with four of the top five most popular podcasts in the country.
 
Audioboom’s Casefile, which is part of the iHeartPodcast Network, held its #1 position and Stuff You Should Know is #3 on the Australian Podcast Ranker. The Kyle & Jackie O Show are #4 (#1 radio catch up podcast) Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne are #5 and She’s On The Money holds the #10 spot. No Such Thing As A Fish is #14, Morbid is #19 and Jase & PJ are #20.
