3AW has appointed journalist Laura Spurway as its first dedicated AFLW reporter with the move showing the station’s intent to grow and promote the sport.

Spurway will cover all women’s leagues with her work to be featured across Nine Radio’s websites, social media channels, and the network’s news service. She will also be part of 3AW’s AFL coverage.

Laura’s two decade career has taken her from CNN in Hong Kong to Germany and Deutsche Welle to most recently as Sport Reporter for Seven News Melbourne. She began as a producer for 2UE, also producing ABC NewsRadio, The Today Show and was Chief of Staff for The Project.
