Leo Sayer speaks for Australia on Jono’s BBC show

Now Sydney resident, singer, songwriter, performer Leo Sayer has been signed to be the official Australian correspondent for Jonathan Coleman and Joanne Good’s breakfast show on BBC London 94.9FM.

Coleman had Sayer on his program on Friday last before he flew back to Australia on Saturday.

Jono told radioinfo: “So anytime he wants to have a chat or we want to know what’s going on in Oz….Leo Sayer is our man. He’s great fun and is about to go to the top of the UK charts with a remix of his 80’s hit “Thunder in my heart” with a London DJ and remix guy called Meck. The record comes out on Monday and is already charting on pre orders alone. ”

Sayer is about to become an Aussie citizen and looks like he will continue to do stuff with Kyle and Jackie O on 2dayFM.

Coleman told us: “My show has gone up slightly but this is only my first survey on the new brekkie show. It’s still number 5. Capital is number one in London…Heart is still 2. then Magic FM and Kiss FM then BBC London 94.9FM”
