Life FM’s Lunch Box Legends smashes 2026 goal

When Life FM in Adelaide launched Lunch Box Legends for a 5th year, on January 2, the not-for-profit radio station set a goal of 1000 lunchboxes.

Life FM asked their listeners to grab an extra lunch box, or two, and drop it off to the station, in Hendon, or one of the drop-off locations around Adelaide. The donations are then handed over to Cos We Care, who fill them with healthy and satisfying food, every day, to meet the ongoing challenges faced by many families who struggle to provide their children with nutritious meals.

Life FM so far have collected 1402 lunchboxes, more than double previous year’s totals.

Ann Cooper, Founder of Cos We Care, said:

“It’s the small bits that people do. By a lot of people doing it, it makes all the difference.”

The 1402 lunchboxes donated will be distributed to schools across Adelaide’s Northern Suburbs and into the Riverland. Cos We Care are also assisting children finishing kindergarten so that they can start school with their own lunch box, filled daily.

The station thanks their Life FM family for their incredible generosity. You can still drop off lunchboxes. To find locations or for more information visit mylifefm.com or contact Lauren Francis[email protected]
