What wedding is complete without a skydiving bride, the groom dressed as the devil, a bouquet of broccoli, the celebrant decked out in balloons, a year 5 band serenading the couple down the aisle and a cake made by Ben Cousins dressed as Woody from Toy Story?

That was the scenario for Lisa and Josh from Ellenbrook in Mix 94.5‘s The Wedding YOU Built and it all went of without a hitch, or with a hitched depending on how you look at it.
As aspects were completely voted on and built by the people of Perth.
The wedding was held at Barrett Lane Function Centre in the Swan Valley this morning in front of Lisa & Josh’s family and friends, and was officiated by Mix94.5’s Kymba Cahill, a ordained wedding celebrant in said balloon dress.

Mix 94.5 gave Lisa the wedding she was never able to have, at 19, and pregnant with her first child, Lisa was left at the altar as it were, her partner leaving her 4 days before the wedding day.
Lisa said at the ceremony: “…thank you for not getting cold feet. When we first met, we both were not ready for what we found in each other, two broken souls wanting to feel whole again. You love me for me, I get to look after you, care for you, fall deeper in love with you, every day I get to grow old with you, laugh with you and cry and promise to always grow and learn with you and never give up. I am and will forever be your Lisa.”
Josh added: “Lisa, when I met you, I never thought such a beautiful woman would step into my life and love me like the way you did, and take the broken me as I was. The way you looked at me and the way you made me feel I’ve never felt like that high in my life. You still make me feel that way every day. I’ll always be there for you and the kids for the rest of our lives, and we stick side by side through anything that comes our way. I love you forever.”
Lisa got her dream / cosplay wedding. And dang Ben’s cake making skills are impressive!
