SCA’s Accelerate with Audio events in Sydney and Melbourne brought together industry leaders, agencies, and clients for a deep dive into the evolving audio landscape including a launch of new LiSTNR AdTech capabilities.
Olly Newton, the Executive Head of LiSTNR Commercial (main image) unveiled LiSTNR Precision+ which will launch in October, combining AI and first-party data to enable real-time optimisation and deliver greater strategic impact for advertisers. Also present were Triple M’s newest recruit, Jarch, from Lu & Jarch’s early drive show and Andy Lee, one half of Hamish & Andy, sharing insights on authentic brand partnerships. Jarch emphasised the importance of genuine, natural ad integrations that resonate with listeners, while Andy highlighted how talent led creative messaging in their own voice keeps content seamless and engaging.
Jarch said listeners keep his show honest:
“The beautiful thing about our audience is they’re very happy to let us know if something hasn’t landed. Feedback is a gift!”
Andy spoke about audio’s abilities for trust and connection:
“I feel like audio is doing that better than any other medium because a) you don’t see a break you hear it which is nice, but also for people choosing a podcast, there’s a real connection with your audience there, and you make a choice and you don’t tend to have distractions, people don’t tend to listen and be on their phone, on the TV if the ads come on people grab their phone, so that’s part of it as well for us, we know they’re engaged, we know they believe us, they’ve chosen us, they trust us, so we want to make sure the ad spot has the same authenticity.”
In Sydney the event was held at Micron-12, with Seb Rennie, SCA’s Chief Commercial Officer, Georgie De Visser, SCA’s Head of Studio and a panel featuring Carol Kearny (Media Manager at Lion), Danny Tyrell (DataCo’s Chief Operating & Product Officer), and Jarch. Melbourne’s took place at The Terrace, Royal Botanical Gardens, with Victoria Young, SCA’s Head of Melbourne Sales. Bryce Crosswell, SCA’s Head of Digital Sales Melbourne and their panel including Simon O’Connor (NAB’s Head of Business Marketing), Andy Lee and Michael Bridgeman (DataCo Co-Founder).
