Macquarie Radio Network profit up 300%

Macquarie Radio Network has released its 2013 financial year results, showing revenue down 10% but profit (NPAT) up 300% to $9.1 million.

MRN revenue was $57.4 million with earnings per share a healthy 11.9 cents per share, compared with 2.8 cents last financial year. The company paid a final dividend of 5 cents per share, making the full year’s dividends a total of 10 cents per share.

The company is still feeling the effect of the advertiser boycott from last year, with the annual results report noting: “Revenue were down largely as a result of the events surrounding Alan Jones in September 2012.”
