Madonna and Good Charlotte sell radio

The U.S. National Association of Broadcasters has announced that superstar Madonna and power-pop rockers Good Charlotte have joined the radio industry’s “Radio: You Hear It Here First” campaign.

NAB Radio Board Chairman David J. Field said: “Madonna is a superstar with an unparalleled following. It would be difficult to find a more effective spokesperson to communicate free, local radio’s strengths.”

The campaign which is designed to fight the impact of Satellite radio features testimonials from newly emerging and legendary recording artists who tell how radio played a key role in advancing their careers.
