Magic FM’s Matt and Rosie’s last week on-air together has been a huge one. Rosie is moving to West Australia’s Hot FM as reported earlier this week in our Comings and Goings section.
“I’m pretty disappointed Rosie hasn’t clocked off for her final week. She’s worked all the way to the very end … I think that’s pretty Un-Australian of her!” Matt has told radioinfo.
Among it all they took time out to ‘celebrate’ the longest-election Australia has ever seen, teaming up with local Port Augusta choir Desert Voices to put together an election anthem.
“We called it the ‘226 Days of the Federal Election.’ It’s like the 12 days of Christmas but less festive,” according to the duo.
“Just like the election, the song gets a little repetitive and tiresome at times. But also just like the election, things start to get really exciting right at the end.”
