Last week the U.S. 7th Fleet was in town and 107.3 MAX FM Breakfast Announcer Craig Huth scored a coveted invite to a cocktail party aboard the flagship U.S.S. Blue Ridge.
Pictured is Craig giving Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Scott H. Swift some tactical tips before the Blue Ridge makes its way up the coast to play a major role in the U.S / Australia War games in the waters off Townsville.
This is the second time Craig’s been invited onboard. He says, “It was a real honour for my partner and myself to be invited on board again to celebrate and report on the great relationship between our two countries.
“I had the opportunity to chat with Admiral Swift and the US Consul General while on board which was very enlightening,” says Craig.
Some of the other names on board that night included Kamahl who was handing his CD’s to the sailors and actor Roy Billing who played the Mayor in the movie The DISH.
