MCM appoints new Executive Director

John Wardley has been appointed Executive Director of MCM Entertainment Group with a remit of integrating and driving growth across all three group businesses; digital creative agency Igloo, video technology business Movideo and media content business MCM Media.

Group CEO Simon Joyce said: “To secure the consulting services of someone of John’s pedigree is a real coup for the MCM Group. He gets business and he gets marketing, the value he will add in shaping our 3 businesses will be significant”.

Wardley began early with a career in advertising and spent 14 years with The Coca-Cola Company where he held various senior marketing roles in both Australia and the United States. These roles included Global Advertising Director in Atlanta, where he was responsible for some of The Coca-Cola Company’s most successful and innovative advertising campaigns, and Marketing Director for the Company’s South Pacific and Korea Division. His accomplishments include the Australian and New Zealand launch of Coke Zero, one of the most successful FMCG new product launches of recent times. He also spent six years in Boston, where he held the role of Global Consumer Marketing Director for Reebok International.

Most recently, Wardley held the role of Marketing and Innovation Director for George Weston Foods, where his achievements included returning the iconic “Good On Ya Mum, Tip Top’s The One” campaign after a 10 year hiatus, the successful relaunch of the Abbotts and Burgen brands, and the launch of the Tip Top brand’s most successful innovation, Tip Top “The One”.
