Last month at the Melbourne Press Club, the ‘titans of talk” Neil Mitchell and Jon Faine discussed radio and the comparative values of Commercial Radio and the ABC.
Mitchell said the media industry, including radio, is in “immense trouble” with the changing news cycle and the new way that audiences consume media.
Faine told Mitchell, “we share technology but we don’t share values,” saying the ABC exists for “completely different reasons to commercial radio.”
