Austereo has announced the appointment of Michael Anderson to the new role of Director – Sales Strategy & Corporate Development.
The new position will allow Anderson to continue to lead the Austereo sales strategy in Australia, while fully utilising his expertise, vision and extensive experience to help secure offshore developments for the Austereo Group, to create sales strategies for new acquisitions, and assist global business solutions.
“Michael has been leading the Austereo sales effort for some ten years now and has achieved outstanding results, with a world-class sales structure,” Austereo’s Executive Chairman Peter Harvie told AMT.
“With his range of skills and interests we see him as the perfect person to take up this new position, which has been created to give sharper focus to Australian sales and to our acquisition and overseas activities.”
Anderson will maintain a base in Sydney and will continue as a Director of Austereo and a Director of Eyeshop. Gary Pert will assume increased responsibility, replacing Anderson as Group Director of Sales while retaining his current position as Director of Sales Melbourne.
These moves follow the restructure of Austereo Sales, to “increase the efficiency of the sales operations of Australia’s largest metropolitan radio sales group.”
