Yesterday Michael Smyth announced his departure from ABC Local Radio at the end of 2015.
Smyth had this to say about his time with ABC:
“It’s been a fast paced, challenging and exhilarating four years hosting Drive. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some incredible people, from everyday South Australians doing extraordinary things… to world leading scientists, musicians, actors, authors and sports stars. Thanks to my team and our listeners for their wonderful support.”
ABC Local Manager Adelaide, Graeme Bennett paid tribute to Michael’s work:
Smyth will finish the year with 891 ABC Adelaide on air until the Christmas break.
891 ABC Adelaide’s full 2016 broadcast schedule will be announced later this year.
He should be back reading news on TV.
Now that 9 Adelaide is owned by the 'real channel 9', they should have some sense and make an approach.
