Midwest Radio Network resumes control of 2LT/IceFM Lithgow

The receivers appointed to 2LT’s owner Media Corporation have handed back control of 2LT and Kiss FM to the station.

A note from O’Brien Palmer, the Receiver and Manager Appointed in Liquidation, says:

“I advise that, effective from 3 January 2010, Brian Collis and I ceased acting as receivers and managers of the company. At that time, Midwest Radio Network Pty Ltd, as first ranking charge holder, assumed control of the radio licences and associated assets of the Company.”

The notification now directs all enquiries to the General Manager of 2LT and 2ICE.

Midwest Radio Network, the company which previously owned the stations, was bought by Media Corporation, a larger company based in Queensland, with a range of diversified media assets. Media Corporation went into liquidation last year.
