The lucky South Australian had only ever won a blender.

Adelaide’s Mix 102.3 Jodie & Soda have made a soon-to-be retiree a multi-millionaire on-air after helping draw the Hospital Research Home Lottery, which supports finding cures and improving care in South Australian hospitals.

Kurt Deichmann-Jensen from the South Australian suburb of Belair answered Jodie & Soda’s call, and revealed that he’d only ever won a blender.

Kurt is now $3.2 million richer after taking home the lottery’s grand prize of a $2.2 million dollar home and $1 million in cash. The house, located in the Adelaide suburb of Malvern, was just one of 18,000 prizes on offer.

Kurt said that he was thankful for the money as he will soon retire and his daughter is recovering from a work injury.
