Mix FM declares Kylie Day

MixFM is celebrating the release today of Kylie Minogue’s new album The Abbey Road Sessions by declaring today Kylie Day across the network.

Chrissie Swan and Jane Hall spoke exclusively to Kylie during the 3pm Pick-Up today.

Kylie has also hosted an exclusive one hour special which airs tonight at 6pm nationally across the MixFM network.

“Kylie is a core artist for us and we’re excited by this content initiative that will be heard across the MixFM Network,” says ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell.

Chrissie and Jane speak to Kylie from her home in London. To have Kylie take over MixFM, hosting an hour of exclusive content and talking about her new CD is a real coup for us.

In their 3pm Pick-Up chat with Kylie, Chrissie and Jane did a “lady test” with Kylie where Kylie reveals to Chrissie and Jane that she’s never eaten a whole packet of Mint Slices in one go and she’s never called her sister Dannii the “B word” (although she says she has called her other things!).

She does admit to taking jewellery, shoes and even a polar bear from photo shoots. Kylie is definitely a lady. They also asked her if she’s ever snuck out of the Logies early.

Chrissie told Kylie that she grew up in the next suburb to her and that she used to stalk her at the Camberwell Market in Melbourne.

In the 6pm special Kylie plays and talks through tracks from her new album The Abbey Road Sessions.
