More changes coming for Austereo stations: Michael Anderson

After announcing changes to Judith Lucy’s breakfast show earlier this week, Austereo’s Michael Anderson has told radioinfo 2005 will bring further change for his network and further announcements are imminent.

Commenting on the latest ratings, Anderson says the new environment will mean the network will be working its listener research even harder.

“We have a better understanding of what our listeners are enjoying and wanting at the various distinct parts of the day.

“The first response has been the creation of the Today Network’s new national drive show with Judith Lucy and her team and bringing Kyle and Jackie O to breakfast to 2Day FM in Sydney.

“We will be making more announcements in the coming days and weeks.”

Anderson says the year’s sometimes challenging survey results are “an accurate reflection of a year of strategic and tactical change” as the two Austereo networks, Today and Triple M, respond to the extraordinary change in their competitive environments.
