More Stuff less Fluff at Radio Conference

Full Conference and ACRA program at a glance

Last year, for the first time, the Conference and ACRAs got by without a high profile international celebrity. And as radioinfo’s Peter Saxon wrote at the time: “It was all the better for it.”

If a glance at this year’s Melbourne program is any indication, the folk at CRA have done even better. Not only have they come up with content that promises to be even richer, more relevant for the conference, they’ve found a genuinely great home grown talent as the key note speaker in Andrew Denton

If anything, there may be a little too much happening all at the same time. For example, in the second session after morning tea, I’d love to see the panel discussion between the FM network marketers. But I’d also like to see James Cridland’s presentationon the World’s Gretaest Radio Apps as well as Ruth Presslaff’s ideas on Finding Consumer Trends. Sadly, I can’t be in three places at once, so it’ll have to be a case of eenie, meanie, minie, moe…

One thing you can bet on is that radioinfo’s coverage of the weekend will keep you up to date with all that happens at the conference.  We’ll also be tweeting the ACRA winners as they’re announced along with those famous acceptance speeches you’ll never hear except through radioinfo.

Drinks Are On Us

If you’re lucky enough to be at the conference on Friday, you can join radioinfo for drinks at the Hyatt immediately after the conference concludes at 5pm. Steve Ahern, Wendy Whalley and Peter Saxon look forward to catching up then.

A detailed program & map will be in the delegate pack provided at registration, and you can also download the Conference App in Apple Store or Google Play later this week (search National Radio Conference).
