Graham Mott is one of those blokes you could only dream of working for. Despite his enormous work load Mott was always available to talk no matter if business or personal. Mott's serious illness in 2009 was a massive fright for all of us. How he continued to run the network I'll never know. Since the sale of the radio side of Southern Cross to Fairfax his work load must have been unimaginable. I remember often calling him or emailing him and he'd be in Perth or Brisbane or Sydney. Since my retirement earlier this year I have on occasions spoken with Graham about the benefits of retirement and spending more time out and about with his Canon EOS. Looks like he's now going to be able to. In my time in Radio (1957 - 2011) there are only four managers I wouldn't hesitate to speak highly of. Mott is one of them.
