Musical acts and presenters named for Radio Awards

Those going to The 21st annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) will be treated to some great entertainment with Australian performers, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Kisschasy performing at the event in Sydney next month. International star, Matt Nathanson is also on the bill to perform at the ACRAs, which will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, October 10.

Matt Nathanson, a singer/songwriter, based in San Francisco, is best known in Australia for his hit singles “Car Crash” and “Come On Get Higher” – both taken from his most recent album, “Some Mad Hope”.

Jessica Mauboy has had a number one single this year, “Burn” as has Guy Sebastian, with his most recent single also a number one hit, “Like it Like That”.

Kisschasy, an Australian rock band formed in 2002, has also had considerable career success so far and have released their third album, “Seizures” this year.

The performers will be joined by one of the winners of this year’s New Artists 2 Radio (NA2R) initiative, the commercial radio showcase which aims to identify future music talent.

MC for the night is Australian Idol host, Andrew Gunsberg, who also hosts Australia’s biggest weekly radio countdown, “Take 40 Australia”. Andrew began his career in radio at B105 in Brisbane and then SAFM in Adelaide, before moving to television with Channel V.

A number of radio personalities will present awards, including Hamish and Andy from Austereo, Merrick and Rosso from DMG Radio, Jason Morrison from Macquarie Radio Network, Jonesy and Amanda from Australian Radio Network, Derryn Hinch from Fairfax Radio and the Benchwarmers – Ant and Becks from Macquarie Southern Cross Media.
