Four months after he stepped away from Breakfast radio, former SAFM host Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom is returning to the airwaves.

The Adelaide media personality is joining ABC Radio’s SA Grandstand AFL coverage.

Soderstrom will call Crows and Power games at Adelaide Oval alongside Aaron Bryans and will also make regular appearances on the station’s Breakfast program, talking all things footy with Sonya Feldhoff and Jules Schiller.

Soderstrom told The Advertiser (subscription required) “I’m happy to pop back behind the mic, it’s been a long time, all of about four months.”

“I can’t wait for the season to finally start because it’s a massive year for both clubs here in SA.”

In October last year, Soderstrom revealed to SAFM listeners that he was facing what he described as the biggest challenge of his life, and that he was left with no choice but to go.

“It’s not even a decision I have to make,” he said back then. “It’s something I have to do because I have a fair bit on my plate.”
