102.3 Triple M Townsville is adjusting its breakfasts and workdays, swapping a Cliffo for a Cliff – which should be nice and easy for Kate Jeboult to remember.
From next Monday June 8 the CK & Kate Breakfast Show wakes up Townsville with Cliff ‘CK’ Kern and Kate Jeboult delivering everything listeners need to know in North Queensland.
Born and bred in Townsville, CK joined the station in 2021 hosting workdays and working as a ground announcer alongside Kate for the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys. He’s no stranger to the breakfast audience, co-hosting the show for several weeks during Cliffo’s long-service leave last year.
He said:
“Townsville is my home, so getting the chance to wake up the city every morning alongside Kate is a privilege. We already know each other really well, and we both care a lot about our community. We’ll have plenty of laughs, talk about what matters locally, and remain a part of our listeners’ morning routine.”
Kate began on breakfast alongside Cliffo at the start of 2024 after moving to Townsville in 2017.
She added:
“CK and I have been friends off the air for many years, our kids play soccer together, and we host Cowboys games together. Getting the chance to bring that friendship to breakfast radio feels incredibly exciting. There’s not a man who lives and breathes North Queensland more than CK, and I can’t wait for listeners to hear our exciting new show.”
As to Cliffo, after recently celebrating 25 years in radio and nearly two decades on breakfast, he has made the decision to discover what mornings look like after 4am. A shift to CK’s workdays spot gives him with a new challenge and more time with his young family.
