New business structure for Southern Cross Austereo

Rick Lenarcic (pictured) will leave SCA as part of an operational restructure and Stephen Haddad will move into the role of Chief Technology Officer.

In the new organisational structure the company’s core business functions will be aligned under the following areas:

• Sales
• Content
• Operations
• Finance and Corporate Affairs
• Technology

SCA CEO Grant Blackley explained the new structure in a staff memo:

“After considerable discussion and reflection we have made the decision to fully integrate our Metro and Regional business units from an organisational perspective effective 1 July 2018. We believe this decision is a natural and logical step for the company which will ensure we fully optimise our performance, ongoing success and future growth of our business.

“This new operating model means that we will no longer have our Metro and Regional businesses as separate ‘arms’ – as all teams will now be integrated under our new functional model. This allows the opportunity to truly integrate our entire business under one national structure and further improve and streamline processes, communication flow and decision-making…

“As we work through the implementation of this new organisational structure across the business there will be some changes to reporting lines and processes and your Manager will communicate any changes with you over the coming weeks – as well as answer any questions you may have.”

As a result of the new structure, Stephen Haddad will move into the role of Chief Technology Officer and provide overall functional leadership and direction to SCA’s I.T., Audio, Engineering, Digital Technology, PMO and Procurement services.

With the announcement of the new structure Rick Lenarcic, Head of Regional Media, will leave SCA on 22 June to pursue the next stage of his career.
