Prime Minister and Premier join Hobart’s Give Me 5 For Kids Wheelie Bin Walk

The annual event raises funds for the Children’s Ward at Royal Hobart Hospital.

Hobart has a tradition of taking to the streets every June to support SCA’s Give Me 5 For Kids campaign with the annual the Wheelie Bin Walk.

During the fundraiser, both sides of the Derwent River are challenged to outdo each other in fundraising for the Children’s Ward at The Royal Hobart Hospital.

Today it was the Western Shore trying to better the 2017 record of $19,054.55 with the effort given an extra boost when Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman joined the Hobart team.

Donning the bright yellow GM5FK’s cap The PM told Triple M’s Dave Noonan and Al Plath that he was “here to help.”
