New FM Licence for West Midlands

UK media regulator, Ofcom, has revealed plans for a new FM commercial radio licence for the Kidderminster area in the West Midlands.

Radio companies have been invited to pitch for licence, which will cover an estimated audience of around 100 000.

Similar advertisements have recently been unveiled for FM licences in Kent and Edinburgh – an area expected to be one of the most fiercely contested regions in recent years.

The licence will be valid only for 12 months and the closing date for applications is 18 November.
