As Bundaberg Broadcasters farewelled news journalist Eve Sharpe, who is returning for another stint with WIN TV News, the station will welcome Natasha Dean Jones into the position of Journalist and Presenter at 4BU and Hitz939.
Jones has come to the Bundaberg radio stations on a high recommendation from 4BC in Brisbane after she completed an internship within their news department. She graduated from The University of Queensland this year, after undertaking several work experience terms within various radio newsrooms including one of Grant Broadcasters stations River949.
Station Manager Trish Mears says, while she was sorry to see Eve go, she welcomes the chance to give a new graduate a start in the industry. ”Eve has done a fantastic job over the past year and we will miss her, though it is great she is staying in Bundaberg. We are very happy to have Natasha on board. She has already settled in and hit the ground running, reading bulletins on her very first morning.”
Eve Sharpe thanked Hitz 939 and 4BU’s listeners for their support and is sure they will be left in good hands. “I have loved working here at Bundaberg Broadcasters where I learnt so much about the radio industry and believe it has made me a more well-rounded Journalist and Presenter. I know that my replacement Natasha will do the network and listeners proud in delivery the very latest in local news and sport.” she said.
