Shayne Sinclair has been appointed the new Program Director for Star 104.5 on the Central Coast.
With 14 years’ experience in radio, working across music, on-air, programming and production, Sinclair is currently Nova 96.9 Operations Manager.
Star 104.5 General Manager Paul Moltzen says: “Shayne’s extensive experience across so many areas in radio, including the last 12 months as Nova 96.9’s Operations Manager, and his first-hand knowledge of the Central Coast market will put him in good stead to lead our on-air teams. We are delighted that we have the depth of talent within the business to promote a talented programmer from within.”
After graduating from AFTRS he started in radio as a copywriter in Grafton and, in August 2004 Shayne secured his first metropolitan role as Image Producer on the Gold Coast.
A year later he joined NOVA Entertainment as Sydney’s Breakfast Audio Producer before moving to Townsville to take up the role of Music Director and announcer for SCA. In January 2008 Shayne was promoted to Assistant Content Director and Operations Manager on the Central Coast.
In March 2011 Shayne Sinclair moved to Adelaide to become Music Director. He returned to NOVA Entertainment in April 2012 as network announcer before being promoted to Nova 96.9 Operations Manager.
Sinclair says he is absolutely delighted to be joining the talented team at Star 104.5 on the Central Coast. “The team is now closer than ever after just coming off the back of Craig & Mandy’s monumental 24-hour broadcast rising over $90,000 for Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. It really is a fantastic time to be joining the team.”
Shayne Sinclair comes from a radio family, his father is hotshot ARN producer Gregg Sinclair.
Shayne will replace Dan King, who is leaving to spend more time with his young family and reconnect with his first love in media – production and creative. He will take up his new role at Star 104.5 in January 2015.
