The New York Daily News is reporting that the former PD of radio WNEW-FM, Frankie Blue (aka Frank Macchiaroli), is being sued by nighttime host Yvonne Velazquez for $1 million.

In the suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Velazquez charges that Blue became infuriated when she didn’t attend last year’s station Christmas party, calling her a “[bleeping] diva.”

She alleges that Blue pushed her into his office, pinned her against the wall and punched it, next to her face, three times. Velazquez then alleges that she escaped, only to be chased by Blue from the building.

Blue later went on the air in Velazquez’s shift in an appearance that included his getting the station’s call letters wrong and other miscues. He exited the station in January.
