New Zealand’s Radio Bureau begins new chapter

MediaWorks and NZME have moved to clarify speculation about the future of The Radio Bureau, announcing that the future of the organisation “remains solid and secure.”

MediaWorks, NZME, and the independent radio stations are working together to re-shape The Radio Bureau so it best meets the changing demands of the market.

Dean Buchanan (pictured), Managing Director NZME Radio, and Wendy Palmer, CEO MediaWorks Radio (and TRB Chair), say The Radio Bureau has “the full backing of both companies.”

“We have agreed on a structure that is best suited to the current and future needs of our evolving industry, and the TRB team is informed and excited by the challenges and opportunities ahead.  This is the start of an exciting new chapter for The Radio Bureau.”

Peter Richardson, Acting General Manager of The Radio Bureau, says:

“TRB has an important job to do for the radio industry.  I am working with the senior account directors and planners to ensure TRB continues to deliver industry-wide planning solutions with the high levels of service our agency clients expect.”
