NewsCast debuts The Missing Australia true crime podcast

News Corp Australia’s on-demand audio arm, NewsCast, has recently released The Missing Australia podcast, a six-episode true crime podcast that investigates in country’s missing person cases.

Hosted by former police officer Meni Caroutas, The Missing Australia looks at some of the 38,000+ missing persons reports made to police each year in the hope of finding new information.

Editorial Director, Audio Dan Box said “Meni Caroutas has done some outstanding work with this podcast, again and again he has uncovered new leads.”

By helping put these cases back in the headlines we hope it might be possible to generate even more new information. Because, like Meni, we believe that for every unresolved disappearance, someone, somewhere, knows something.”

Meni said she’s excited to pool resources in the hope of reaching more people.

I’m excited to work with an organisation like News Corp Australia and to use their resources to reach as many people as possible. The more people we reach the more chance someone with information about a case will come forward and hopefully help police solve one of these cases,” said Meni.

Subscribers of the company’s state-based mastheads and CrimeX+ in Apple Podcasts will have first access to episodes of The Missing Australia as they are released each Thursday.
