Nic Healey named as 2SER’s new Breakfast Presenter

A voice familiar to 2SER listeners will take over the weekday breakfast show from the end of this month.

2SER’s Sunday breakfast presenter Nic Healey has been named as the replacement for Mitch Byatt, who has moved on to a job outside the radio industry. Nic is also familiar to weekday breakfast listeners through his weekly segment called I Can’t Believe It’s Not  News.

Nic has been a volunteer producer and presenter at 2SER since 2013 and has presented the Sunday breakfast show for the past year.

He has a professional journalism background, previously working as a reporter and editor for a range of print and online publications. Nic will leave his current role of Senior Editor of CNET, part of the international publishing arm of CBS Interactive, to join the breakfast show.

2SER Program Director Anthony Dockrill says the 2SER audience is already familiar with Nic’s style. “Like many 2SER listeners I enjoy listening to Nic’s weekly segment and his Sunday breakfast show. Last year Nic was recognised with a station award for Best Magazine Show Presenter for his work. We are looking forward to hearing more of him when he joins us full time.”

Nic is looking forward to greeting 2SER’s listeners each morning and bringing them a combination of stories, ideas, music and entertainment.

“I’ve been passionate about radio for some time now,” said Nic. “The opportunity to present Breakfast full time seems almost too good to be true. I’m excited to be working with 2SER, a station with an incredibly rich history and a commitment to the Sydney community.”

Nic begins on air next Monday 27 June.
