Nathan Morris has revealed that legal issues were the reason behind his extended absence from Perth’s airwaves.

Returning to Nova 93.7’s top-rating Breakfast show Nathan, Nat & Shaun this morning after several months away, Morris said on-air:

“Something happened in my personal life that was one of these monumental things that happens that you can’t really process.

Sometimes, something comes in that’s so different no-one has gone through it, no-one can give you advice.”

Morris said it started last year and reared its head again this year, but he is unable to speak about the matter in too much detail.

“It’s legal proceedings (that have) got nothing to do with me but I cannot speak about it because of that. I just had to go off and deal with that situation and also sort of process what had happened.”

Morris joked that during his time away from the show, he’d spent a lot of time at Bunning’s, brushing up on his DIY skills.

Last Friday, Nova teased his radio return on social media.
