The Nova Network has launched a new music show to provide a platform to support and promote Australian artists and tracks.
The Maddy Rowe Aus Music Show begins on Sunday 19 March from 6pm.
The new show will feature a range of listeners’ favourite Australian tracks as well as explore and showcase new local music and artists.
Each week Maddy, a talented musician in her own right, will also chat with an Australian artist to showcase their music and career.
Nova’s Music Director, Jodie Williams, says, “Nova has always been committed to providing a platform to support the emerging and established Australian artists.
“This year alone Nova’s Red Room has provided music fans with up close and personal experiences with some incredible Australian artists, one of the most exciting up and coming artists Budjerah and respected singer-songwriter Dean Lewis.
“We are extremely proud to have our own Maddy Rowe, a talented announcer and artist, host this new show that showcases Australian artists and allows fans to discover emerging artists and new tracks.”
Maddy says, “I’m excited to grow the number of dedicated Australian music shows on commercial radio. Starting this show is the reason why I got into radio. Australia is full of arguably some of the best talent in the world – from the producers and songwriters who work behind the scenes, to the artists who pour their everything into it.
“If I can help an independent artist with their very first commercial radio play, that’s the magic for me!”
